Built in 1976, GABC Sports and Recreation’s Family Life Center is one of the first church recreational facilities in the east Texas area. The Family Life Center is located on the main campus of Green Acres Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas.
Our facility is over 40,000 square feet and designed for families and individuals to have an exciting time. When you want to join an indoor sports team or exercise in our weight room, GABC Sports and Recreation is the place to be.

GABC’s Family Life Center is your local resource for fun activities and good times. Our facility features a:

- Bowling alley

- Multi-purpose room
- Formal meeting room with a fireplace

- Weight room
You’ll also find men’s and women’s lockers, showers and saunas. We offer basic gym memberships, community gym memberships and a Green Acres gym membership.

Racquetball Courts
There are 2 racquetball courts that members can use. Please call ahead to make a reservation. Racquets are available to rent for $1.25 each.
Bowling Alley – NOT available at this time
There are 6 bowling lanes that rent for $1.25 per game per person. Bowling shoes are also available to rent at $.50 per pair. Please call to check availability.
Walking Track
The indoor walking track is on the second floor and overlooks the basketball gym. 18 laps = 1 mile.
Fitness Room
The fitness room has aerobic equipment, machine weights, and free weights. It is setup for beginners and the advanced.
Game Room
Pool table, air hockey, foosball, and table tennis are now available. Check out equipment from the office.
Party Reservations
Church Members can reserve Den or Gym for parties.

The den is perfect for a more formal party and can be reserved for $50.
Gym Party
Reserve the gymnasium for a 2 hour party for $50. Play basketball, volleyball, or other group games.
Bowling Party
Reserve the bowling alley for a 2 hour party for $50. This includes shoe rental.
